WHERE YOUR DONATIONS GO
The PTO impacts every single student at BHS by funding and facilitating teacher grants and school-wide events:
- Educator grants that support student experiences and provide materials that enrich learning.
- Popular student events that help create lasting memories including Junior Semi and the After the Prom Party.
- Appreciation events for staff and faculty.
- The annual Cherry Blossom Festival, Race Reels - a monthly film series, events during Black History Month, and other events that highlight the diversity of our school and engage students and the broader Brookline community.
- The PTO Blast newsletter and class emails that make sure you are informed about events and meetings important to your child’s education.
VOLUNTEER: Join the PTO!
While monetary donations are essential, there are other ways to help as well. The PTO Board is looking for volunteers for next year!
This is a great way to meet other parents, support the school, and learn more about how BHS works.
We’re currently recruiting for:
- Class Representative: for next year, team of 3. Parents of 8th graders can volunteer to be a Class Rep for 9th grade.
- Events Coordinator: Plan two Teacher Appreciation events.
- After The Prom Party Leaders.
- Co-President: Join a team of 3 for a 3-year term.
- Fundraising Committee Members
- Communications Committee Members
Volunteering can be for an hour or two, for a full day, or by joining a committee. The time commitment is up to you!
For more information, please reach out to copresidents@bhs-pto.org or feel free to contact your class reps or committee chairs directly.
