The Brookline Teen Center created the Warrior Cares Fund with a straightforward mission: make sure every teen in our community has what they need — not just to get by, but to truly belong.
The fund partners with school social workers to identify students who could use support. Everything is handled confidentially; recipients are never named publicly, and the process is designed to protect their dignity at every step. Support can take many forms — school supplies, clothing, birthday and holiday gifts, or help covering the cost of school events that aren’t funded by the school budget.
What we appreciate most is how the fund is run: 100% of donations go directly to teens in need, based on what the guidance counselor and the teen themselves identify as most pressing. There is no overhead skimmed off the top, and no one-size-fits-all approach.
As a PTO, we believe every student in Brookline deserves the chance to show up fully — in class, at school events, and in our community. The Warrior Cares Fund is one concrete way to make that possible. We encourage our community to learn more and consider contributing.
