SUMMER WISHLISTS GUIDELINES
Teachers & Staff can place items on wishlists for Amazon, Brookline Booksmith & Tappan Green sponsored by the PTO.
Items will be advertised on their behalf to BHS families during the summer with the hope that families will fulfill many of these requests, if not all!
If you are a teacher or staff member in need of specific materials, please follow this guide to participate.
WHAT ARE THE SUMMER WISHLISTS?
The BHS PTO Summer Wishlists are a community-driven initiative to help teachers and staff get the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.
The PTO sponsors wishlists through Amazon, Brookline Booksmith, and Tappan Green, then coordinates with BHS families to fulfill those requests over the summer months.
WHO CAN SUBMIT REQUESTS?
- All BHS Teachers and Staff are invited to participate.
- This is a great way to bridge the gap for classroom materials, books, or specialized equipment that may not have been covered by the annual grant cycle.
PROCESS TIMELINE
June
Teachers and staff submit their desired items via the PTO request links for Amazon, Brookline Booksmith, or Tappan Green.
Throughout the Summer
The PTO shares these wishlists with BHS parents and caregivers, inviting the community to support our educators by purchasing items directly.
Summer – Back to School
Items are purchased by families and delivered to the school, ensuring teachers have their new resources ready for the first day of class.
WISHLISTS SIZE & LIMITS
To ensure the community can support as many educators as possible, requests are generally limited to 5 items or a total value of $250, whichever comes first.
Exceptions to this limit include:
- Requests for multiple copies of a single book or curriculum material.
- Items intended to be shared among multiple educators or a whole department.
- Teachers who applied for a PTO Grant and were specifically invited to move their request to the Summer Wishlist.
