Here you can find important information for the 2024-2025 school year, including details about upcoming grade-specific open houses and the date for the school-wide “Back to School Night” event.
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
On behalf of the PTO, we would like to welcome you to the 2024-2025 school year!
Before mentioning upcoming events, we would like to thank all of you who supported our summer “wish list” appeal. Thanks to your generosity, BHS teachers and staff received thousands of dollars’ worth of much-needed supplies and materials – everything from books to calculators to snacks and laboratory supplies.
In the next few weeks, BHS will be hosting a series of events to welcome — and provide information to — parents and caregivers.
First, there will be an “open house” for each grade. Typically, the deans for each grade take this opportunity to give a brief presentation and answer questions from parents and caregivers. The open-house schedule is as follows:
- Class of 2028 – Sept. 16th – 7:00 p.m. at 22 Tappan Cafeteria
- Class of 2027 – Sept. 10th – 7:00 p.m. at MLK Room BHS
- Class of 2026 – Sept. 17th – 7:00 p.m. at MLK Room BHS
- Class of 2025 – Sept. 19th – 7:00 p.m. at MLK Room BHS
In addition, BHS will host a school-wide “Back to School Night” where you can meet with teachers in their classrooms. This event is scheduled for Thursday, September 26th.
We expect the deans will be sending out an official communication regarding these events.
