Dress for Success — Confidence in Every Suit

Every student deserves to step into their future with confidence—and thanks to the PTO’s Dress for Success grant, they can do just that.

Led by Brendan McCarthy, transition counselor and certified transition specialist, the program gives students in Brookline High School’s transitions program the chance to shop for professional interview attire. These shopping trips build confidence and teach practical life skills—from budgeting and sizing to choosing the right outfit for the right opportunity.

“I’ll never forget the looks on two senior boys’ faces after walking out of Miltons in brand-new suits,” Brendan said. “They really did look and feel like a million bucks.”

This is what it means to Lift Up BHS—supporting teachers who help students look, feel, and step into the world like the professionals they’re becoming.
