BHS Junior Semi Shines Bright: A Night of Dancing, Fun, and Gratitude

This past Friday, about 385 BHS students dressed up sharp and hit the dance floor for BHS’s Junior Semi, Light Up the Night. From all reports, it was a great night! As soon as “Dancing Queen” started playing, the party was on. The energy was high, the dance moves were legendary, and the food and drinks were “spot on.” (After all, how could you go wrong with Cane’s chicken fingers, Anna’s Taqueria, Hamilton’s mac and cheese, and bowls of ice cream?) Laughter, music, and nonstop fun made it a night to remember!

Brendan Kobus, associate dean for the Class of 2026, was moved that so many students made a point to thank the deans and staff. “They had a great time,” he said. “And they needed this.”

Of course, none of this would have been possible without the amazing work of our BHS team, parents, and caregivers. More than 75 people pitched in to make it all happen—including a few last-minute volunteers whose names we didn’t capture but to whom we are also so grateful.

Thank you to…

The BHS Team:
Anthony Meyer, Summer Williams, Brendan Kobus (), Marisel Figueroa-Marrero (), Liza Casa (), Sharon Fagan (), Dan Bresman, Clifton Brown (DJ by night!), Jennifer Spencer, Emerald Henderson, Larry and James on the custodial team, and many others behind the scenes.
